If you are PADI certified and looking for a fun and exciting shore dive in Grand Cayman, this is the perfect shore excursion for you! The Cali was a freighter built in 1900, and in the 20′s, a diesel engine was installed before it was sold to Colombians. The Cali was not originally designed for the shaking vibrations a giant diesel engine produces. Over time, the hull weakened and cracked. In the 40′s, while carrying a load of 30,000 bags of rice, the hull finally sprung a leak leading to the rice expanding and fracturing the hull offshore from Grand Cayman. The boat was blown in half and scuttled to form the dive site that is now scattered over several hundred meters of undersea terrain to form an artifical reef system for Fish and Coral to thrive on. Don't miss out on your chance to explore this awesome wreck right in the port of Georgetown just a short walk from the Cruise Terminal! This one tank shore dive will give you memories to last a life time and will not be beaten on price or value! Fresh water showers and lockers are available on site.
